Calling All Middle School Woodwinds, Brass & Percussion!
Come join Northeast Florida’s premier youth band! The Discovery Youth Band seeks to enrich the lives of middle school-aged woodwind players, brass players, and percussionists by providing a weekly opportunity for growth, inspiration, and fun in a safe and nurturing environment. Students with one full year of experience on their instrument are invited to register!
Students will rehearse challenging and engaging music alongside current Douglas Anderson band students. Rehearsals are led by the DA Band faculty and are intended to enrich its middle school participates, empowering them as musical leaders in their school band programs. Membership in the Discovery Youth Band of Northeast Florida is completely FREE! There is no cost to participate in the ensemble.
Spring 2026 Season
Rehearsals will occur on Thursday evenings, and this season will bring together musicians from all over Northeast Florida. Rehearsals will be held at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts (2445 San Diego Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32207). Click here to view the full list of rehearsals and concerts.
